About the Author The roots of my spiritual writing began when I spent seven years living a monastic life in a Trappist religious order in the 1970s. After retiring from a career as a grant writer, I returned to a daily practice of spiritual reading and writing, and The Women in His Life was born. It is my hope that these Gospel-based stories will benefit readers who are searching for a more personal experience of the central figure of the New Testament. The book is unique because these narratives are written from what I imagine to be the thoughts, words, and feelings of Jesus in each situation. I’ve tried to capture the individuality of forty-three women as Jesus interacted with them or reflected upon their lives. It is my wish that the reader’s spiritual journey will be richer after meditating upon these stories. Christian believers will discover the deep appreciation Jesus has for women of all ages and situations in life. Golden Patricia takes a new look and brings a fresh approach to conversations between Jesus and the women he encounters, casting a new light on the importance of women in scripture. I'm now even more in love with Jesus for his compassion and understanding of the special role women play. I highly recommend this book.

The Humanity of Jesus Relating to Women By Heidi Jurka As a non-Christian, this book appealed to me because it was about the humanity of the man, Jesus. I was intrigued by the many different women in his life and the artful way Patricia Daly has expressed insights into these thoughtful relationships.The short, concise background descriptions of each story help place you at the scene. There is enough detail so we non-believers can still enjoy reading without needing a bible at our elbow for reference.This satisfying read from new author Patricia Daly is informative without being preachy, and entertaining for those of us with curiosity about the man Jesus, and especially the many women in his life.

Sosinski I read this book during a time when I began reading the Bible and meditating on scriptures as a daily practice. The stories led me to study the scripture references more closely.I felt an emotional connection to many of the women described in the narratives. Reading this book has strengthened my spirituality.I would recommend this book to anyone interested in knowing what life might have been like for women in Jesus' time on earth and his relationships with them during that time.
