Easy to read, this fable reminded me of Dune, with it's alien floaters and survival of the fittest plot. My take away after reading this is Will We Ever Learn? Is there Any Hope For Our Survival as a race? Or are we doomed to extinction? Maybe the new humans, the evolved humans have a chance at life?

Dystopian view of humans getting their just desserts - beingwiped out before they can do more damage to the planet. Mr. Itz gives us a protagonist not so much fighting for his life, as fleeing a resolute force that has taken it upon itself to 'cleanse' the planet Earth. The narrator's only goal is to stay under the radar ofthis force and somehow survive. He makes his way through forest and jungle, meeting fewer and fewer others along the way, learning to cherish and learning to let go. Hard to believe that the story takes such a grip in only a little over 50 pages. The suspense is suspenseful, the fear is palpable, and we are right there, finding our way with the doomed humans. However, this reader couldn't help feeling that the cleansing of the planet might not be such a bad idea. Highly recommended read.
