Great Book, Great Man By Jeff B I found the "Sergeant to CEO" to be an excellent read, as the author delved into his inner marine, challenging the corporate world, government contracts, with all their associated pitfalls (numerous), with a never surrender attitude (USMC influence?), while attempting to keep his ship (PKS) afloat. I worked for Sean for five years on a small government contract, but he made everybody on board feel like a very close knit family.

Wonderful, gritty, gutsy TRUE account of a man taking chances and following and REALIZING his dream!! This should be required reading for any service member--young or old--prior to discharge (as in "YOU DON'T GET YOUR DD-214 until YOU FINISH READING THIS BOOK!!!). This inspiring book should be in libraries all across the nation--especially near military bases, V.A hospitals//installations...The book has the potential to have a powerful,upbeat and positive impact on some young person who is unsure of his or her future following separation, discharge,oreven retirement from the armed forces.....A WINNER, MR. JENSEN !!!!!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. This book is awesome for single mothers of teenage boys too!!! I'll be reading this book AGAIN very soon. By april linder I am so pleased to have found this book! Although my situation hasn't been the exact same as Sean's story just reading about his childhood and the emotions his experienced created in him I was definitely able to draw so many parallels to my own son - even down to the detail of choosing a military career path. For 17 or my son's 18yrs I have been a single mother to him. Because his father has chosen multiple times to have little to no involvement in his life, I have always suspected that he has some deep seeded emotions relating to abandonment and fear about his future as a grown man. I've been able to compare Sean's words about how he felt growing up to some of the behaviors and reactions my son has had and I suddenly had an 'Ah Ha' moment! With so many similarities between my son and Sean's story it is comforting to know that Sean has made his life a success and I have faith my son will too! Congratulations Sean on a great book and thank you for giving me insight and hope for his success!
