About the Author Rocky Henriques has pastored churches in Mississippi since 1979. He received a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Rocky has two adult children and two grandchildren, and lives in Mississippi with his beautiful wife Sharon, a rowdy parrot named Kermit, and a spoiled dog named Gabi. Whenever he spends any amount of time pondering the grace of God, he is stupefied.

Great insights into the Grace of God By Michael Ullrich “The Stupefying Grace of God” takes a word and concept so many of us take for granted and skillfully challenges the reader to consider more deeply its implications. Most followers of Christ are familiar with the song “Amazing Grace” and probably think little further than the truths the song brings to our hearts. This book challenges us to consider much more about grace. I was particularly impressed by the applications Dr. Henriques pointed out in the life of Noah. I had not considered the grace he must have needed and experienced especially as it related to the silent time on the Ark (chapters 5 & 6).The 11 chapters are written in a conversational style, like listening to a wise pastor share in an informal setting. Rocky’s many years as a pastor, his own personal struggles in life, health, and church, and his education in understanding and sharing the Word of God, have come together to make this a meditation worth any follower of Christ’s time. It could be read straight through, but then the reader may want to turn around and read one chapter a day as a devotional, pondering on the specific application of the aspect of grace in that chapter.As a veteran pastor I plan to use some of knowledge gained in future messages. I was indeed stupefied by the wider understanding of grace! I also found insights and reminders which made me interested in looking into the other books Rocky Henriques has written.This would make a good Bible study series and a good book to pass along to someone who struggles with what God’s grace is all about. It also has a clear presentation of God’s saving grace, making it a good little book to share with someone who has not yet accepted the saving Grace of God.I recommend “The Stupefying Grace of God.”Rev. Rocky brings such insight and understanding to the scriptures! This book made so many things I have been struggling with so much easier to understand. He makes it sound so simple! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and plan to read it again and again!
