My second reaction was hope that Jenn McKinlay had the fourth book in this series ready for publication next week. (Alas, no advanced notification for #4).I have read all the books in this charming series. Lindsay Norris loses job and home only to establish herself as the director of the Briar Creek Public Library. She has reconnected with library school classmate, Beth Stanley, and is settling into life in the quaint coastal town of Briar Creek. She has a group of friends in the crafternooner club who teach her to knit, crochet, and cross-stitch. She has also established a relationship with Sully, the handsome owner/operator of a fleet of watercraft.Now the waters are ruffled as her ex fiancé, who was caught in bed with someone else on the same day Lindsay finds out she was the terminal victim of budget cuts, shows up in Briar Creek. He plans to spend the summer trying to win her back.Enter a treasure hunter who claims to possess a treasure map drawn by Captain Kidd. Quite a Twist By Parker38 If you enjoy snowy evenings, small towns, interesting, but fairly consistent, characters who keep on delivering fantastic entertainment, you will enjoy this series by Jenn McKinlay. In this series she centers her stories around the public library and primarily its employees as they interact in their community. She is one of the writers I buy by name and do not bother with reviews. So far she has not disappointed. Her mysteries are well developed; her characters and settings are delightful and the slight surprise in the revelation of the murderer easy to see in hindsight, but not clear until the end. Oh, sure, you may suspect, but admit it, you are not positive!

By Books Laid Bare & Books Laid Bare Boys If you like an MC novel then this is right up your street because this quick little read leaves you in now doubt of the quality of what is to come.There is nothing off the table when it comes to the Inferno Glory MC and JA Fredericks dishes them up lock stock and two smoking barrels!Leaving prison after a three year stretch, Harley has nowhere to go but back to the Infernal Glory but her return is not meet with the welcome that perhaps she may have anticipated.In fact Remmy the club president makes sure she knows that she is not welcome in his club and kicks her out of the compound. He has known Harley for years, he was best friends with her father but when she never made it to his funeral, he cultivated a grudge – one that he just wasn’t ready to forgive.But there are a sea of new faces at the club and while some know her history, others don’t and some are willing to give her a chance.Colt may be the new guy in the club but this former Navy SEAL isn’t about to see her cast adrift. I will normally try anything MC related but being a serial on top of that is AMAZING !! I love the rush of the fast read filled with angst , drama and hot sex. This surely delivered that and more. The cliffhanger is just that and I cannot believe that little twist. What will Harley do now ?? Will Colt be part of her plan ?? I really hope so I love him and I love them together !!It may have been her father's MC , but that doesn't mean that everyone will welcome Harley back with open arms. She has only been gone for 3 years but there are many new faces , one in particular that has us all swooning from the start !! Harley has no choice but to take her new friends offer and stay with him while she gets on her feet. 3 years is a long time to go without certain things so when she comes up with a plan including Colt and Ranger we are in for a steamy show !! It was HOT AS SIN and I loved every minute of it !! You can tell the chemistry between Colt and Harley is more than they want but why fight it !!Colt is known around the club as the golden boy. He is lusted after by all but never indulges. He smitten by Harley from first sight and even before knowing who she actually is. He is a great guy and I just love how he offers his home to her and helps her out. The drunk shopping scene is comical !! He may live the MC life but his intentions for Harley are true. Once he finds her I hope he can convince her to let him in. They would make a great team. I can't imagine what will happen next.

Returning to the MC seems to be her only option left but after everything she isn’t sure whether she’ll be welcomed home with open arms or turned away.When she arrives she meets the elusive, panty-melting Colt Sawyer who brings her to the club President. When she’s turned away she has no choice but to put her trust in Colt and accept his kindness. As her life continues to disintegrate she finds herself putting more and more of her life in Colt’s hand but having lived in a prison where you learn to never put your trust in anyone and to look after yourself, she finds trusting him a difficult task.When things take a turn for the worst, she has a choice to make. Flee her old life and start anew somewhere new but completely on her own or take a risk and stay with the MC and potentially give both her trust and her heart to a man she has only just met.This is the first part in a brand new MC romance serial and what a start! I really enjoyed this story with it’s strong, feisty heroine Harley, the alpha bad mouthed Colt and the thrilling fast paced storyline which will grip you until the brilliant cliffhanger! So many praise scriptures have been made into hymns that it was easy to do, so I did! Next morning, I discovered my son had tried to call and left a message at 11pm: "Going to ER: daughter has stomach pain and fever 104." Next message at 12mn: " Going home; gas and a virus.." I called him to tell him I was sorry I didn't get the message in time to pray, but since I was singing praises, God just took care of the problem anyway. That happens a lot! This book will help me praise more often and more spontaneously! I love it that it is divided into categories of things to praise for and characteristics of God, Jesus and Holy Spirit to praise. Now I will never be at a loss for words of praise. Thanks!

While the scriptures tell us to praise Him continually, how many of us can say we actually do that? This book is an awesome reminder of WHY we should praise Him at all times. It's easier to praise when things are going well; how much more would we be blessed if, even in the midst of despair, we would bow our knee to Him who sits on the throne?

Gait This is one of the worst translations of the I Ching to come along in a long time. There is a point where poetic license crosses over into outright poaching, and this book goes there. Consider a typical passage compared with a few standard translations of the work:Hexagram 21, JudgmentHinton: "Bring people together through the biting foresight of shaman-flower sticks, and you'll penetrate everywhere. Exact the proper punishments and you'll bring forth wild bounty."Legge (19th century, literal, Neo-Confucian school): Shih Ho indicates successful progress (in the condition of things which it supposes). It will be advantageous to use legal constraints.Wilhelm: (20th century, semi-literal, Neo-Confucian school: )Biting through has success. It is favorable to let justice to be administered.Rutt: (20th century, new school/scholarly): Sacrifice. Favorable in disputes.I really think the phrase "the biting foresight of shaman-flower sticks" deserves a bad review all on its own.The author, and he really can be called that since his composition is not a translation, has done competent translations from the Chinese before, including the Confucian Four Books which came out not long ago. Other than using the antiquated Wade-Giles transliteration for Chinese words instead of the standard Pinyin I didn't really find that volume to be embellished with "wild bounty" as this one.On the positive side, the volume is very reasonably priced on Amazon and I have added it to the 'New Age paraphrases and lunatic fringe' section of my collection.

The book of Change By Manford The I Ching is a beautifully written book it is such fun and inspiring .The many surprise words and the way they quickly flow from page to page makes for a very respectful under standing of the age old book and the masters that wrote it .I reckon the I Ching to everyone . If you decide to read it I honestly believe that you will be surprised I very much you will enjoy it's contents .For those that have read it you know about what I am relating to you about the I Ching :The Book of Change .

Through Golden Eyes is a great story to read right after The Grey Eyed Storm. It was very interesting to read about Zias's thoughts and reactions as they had happened in Storm. This short story also reveals some more information about the Occuli and Remys life, but it will also pique your interest to want to go on with the series. Well done Christie.
