About the Author Janet K. Brennan is an author and poet who lives in the foothills of Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband, Arthur, a cat named Amos and two shepherding dogs. She is an award winning author, published artist, was nominated for a Pushcart for her book "Gentle Tugs," and has graced the front cover of the autumn edition of Mary Barnet's "The Poetry Magazine." Janet's online poetry and literary magazine, JB Stillwater, draws some of the best writing talent in the world. Janet's short stories have been published in national and international magazines, most recently the best sellers, "Chicken Soup for the Soul, Think Positive" and "A Chicken Soup Christmas. She has also been featured in "The Power of Prayerful Living," "Prevention Magazine," "Insights, Contemporary Short Stories." She has authored four books of poetry and three novels, to include the critically acclaimed, "Harriet Murphy: a Little Bit of Something," which garnered a reviewer's choice in both SW Book Reviews and Bookwatch 2010. Dr. Santosh Kumar cited Janet as "One of the best contemporary writers of our time Her book reviews have been published in many major magazines including Richard Schiff's Greenwich Village Gazette. Janet attended the University of New Hampshire where she majored in English Literature as well as Hesser Business College. She also holds a paralegal certificate from the University of New Mexico. Janet Brennan is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Book Association. She and her husband, Arthur co-founded Casa de Snapdragon LLC and its imprint, JB Stillwater Publishing. She is an accomplished pianist and has collaborated in writing music with award winning musician and actor, Disney's Michael Edward-Stevens.
