I gave it three stars due to its short length. It only took me a little over 30 minutes to read it from start to finish. Had it not been so short I would have given it a higher rating. There was so much more that this story could have offered for a more remember able book. I'd love to say I will remember this book for its characters or story line but I will only remember it for its length and that truly makes me sad when I could have loved this book.Along with length the story could have used more description. Some of the descriptions were just enough to let you imagine it and others were just absent all together. More about the town and challenges for Kesslyn, and even about Beau's work would have been nice. More townspeople, Kesslyn's new job duties, an appearance of her best friend visiting, would have all been welcomed and would have added another facet to this book. For having such life altering circumstances that took Kesslyn to Texas and such a large inheritance there could have been more elaboration.I truly did like what I traded but I feel the content was over shadowed by what wasn't there rather than what was. Had I a clue about how short this story was perhaps I wouldn't have found myself so perplexed by the quick pace and sudden drop off at the end.

It's a great easy read for the beach or if you just need a quick getaway from the real world. I would (& have) recommend this book for anyone who likes a hot steamy summer romance with a cowboy. It also makes me miss my home state of Texas and wanting my own cowboy.

By Avid Reader The writing of this book seemed somewhat inexperienced and amateurish and the relationship between Beau and Kesslyn developed too fast but the story line and plot were cute and fun to read. Kesslyn has just inherited her grandfather's huge Texas ranch so she leaves Baltimore to go check on it and prepare to sell it. But when she arrives in town and meets Beaut Knox he sweeps her off her feet. Kesslyn is unaware of what lengths the town members will go to in an attempt to keep her from selling, and why. Because of a feud between her father and grandfather Kesslyn knows very little about her grandfather or the town he lived in but she is about to find out there was so much more to him than she ever dreamed.
