About the Author Steve Evans was dramatically saved in 1982 through a vision of Jesus in heaven after praying for the Lord to come into his heart and his life. Since then he has led countless seekers into life-changing encounters with Jesus Christ as a missionary in Honduras, as a priest on staff at the oldest church in Georgia, and as a chaplain to the street people of Savannah. Through Healing Streams Ministry he and his wife Eunice teach believers how to recover their emotional freedom and master their inward state. I’ve served on the faculties of five ministerial colleges and training institutes. If I would have had this book, it would have been required reading for all of my students. It's not stuffed with academic/intellectual material. It's biblical and covers the bases very throughly. Oh how I wish I could have had this book back in the beginning of my ministry.This work is well titled. It is basic, but that does not mean it is simplistic. We have all seen the genre of “Books for Dummies.” The ones I’ve taken time to look at provide a lot of good basic information. The author could have entitled his work, “Ministry Basics for Dummies." This well-written book will give the reader both the how to and the how to be aspects of ministry. I highly recommend it.
