If you haven't read 'The Demon Squad' novels and tales form Tim you're missing out on some of the best Urban Fiction since The Dresden Files. Tim has non-Demon Squad stories in here too.There's also a collection of 13 new authors each with a story in here. Granted, mine is one of them so my opinion is a touch biased, but this is a hell of a collection and a wonderful way to get into Tim's stories, and some new authors on the block too.

By Amazon Customer Tales of Magic and Misery is a collection of short-stories by Tim Marquitz, author of Demon Squad, Witch Bane, the Blood War Trilogy, and other successful fantasy series. The book contains a number of stories set in the Demon Squad universe as well as wholly original work. It's funny, terrifying, horrifying, and exciting in equal measure. I'm not a big fan of most collections but like Jim Butcher's Side Jobs, I found this really worth purchasing. Even people unfamiliar with his work will get a kick out of it and I suspect they will check out the universe introduced thereafter. Those who are already familiar with his writing should definitely pick this up.
