About the Author Joyce Ritchie lives in the country with her husband, two dogs, and an empty nest. Her life perfectly demonstrates that we never know where God will take us. After years of studying for a medical career, she never dreamed she would find herself retired at such an early age. A private and introspective person by nature, she is even more astonished to have penned such an open and vulnerable memoir. She enjoys daily learning more about Jesus and about what walking with Him entails.

A Gripping Story By Teri Capshaw I was immediately drawn into this book because, as a Christian, it is so easy to relate to the author's description of her life and spiritual journey. The story then veers off into strange places and Ritchie takes her readers along for the ride as an extremely logical, professional, woman finds herself in a bizarre spiritual battle. This book offers a valuable peek inside the devastating world of sexual abuse, the recovery of repressed memories, and the struggle to reconcile the past with one's faith.

Amazing Journey By Donna Holman My Journey with Jesus was an amazing book of how God takes a grown woman and allows her to walk through the darkest times in her past. He reveals to her things that would kill a person spirit had they not had His help and a fantastic councilor's guidance. I related with many of the feelings in the book and I was surprised by the honesty and candidness Joyce laid out there. I recommend this book to any adult. I believe this book teaches us to trust God even when it's a painful road. I have to admit, I was a bit jealous of Joyce's walk with Jesus. But I did learn from reading the book that the only thing standing between me having that type of relationship with Jesus is me. He wants that with all of us.
