I purchased the book because of an interest in the book of Philippians and a desire for more joy in my life. I enjoyed reading the book and I feel like I am now I the path to finding joy. I would most certainly recommend this book.

Holladay is a good writer, and a good theologian, but the book drifts more than I would have liked. In short, I wasn't left feeling joyful at the end. Enlightened a bit, but not so much joyful.
