5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. If you need to be well rested tomorrow don't start this book tonight. By phoenix_dreams I loved Dreadful from beginning to end. It's a perfect book to pick up anytime, but I dare you to find the strength to put it down. As a voracious reader of every genre I could get my hands on, since I beat Dan Quayle in a spelling contest in 1992, I find LP ranks with the greats of horror. His disturbing imagery will invade your waking thoughts and haunt your dreams. I anticipate more great work from this author, and will wait impatiently for his next book.

You can tell LP Hernandez has been incubating these well-formed characters, plots, stories for some time and he has unleashed them beautifully! A highlight among many for me in LPH's dark escape was 'The Last Man On Mars' ...so cinematic, sneakily sinister, and surprising how quickly and realistically you're taken off this planet and experiencing a frightful fate right along with 'Adam'...So good! I'm definitely looking forward to more great reads from LP Hernandez!

Injected with bits of humor, this book is definitely eerie and enthralling, yet I was surprised by the last story rounding out the emotional journey that made me feel sentimental, and wanting to reflect on my life. If this is LP Hernandez's first book, I'm eagerly awaiting many more to come!!!
