About the Author The Rev. Father Albert J. Herbert, S.M., is a priest and author of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. He is the author of two saint-oriented spiritual works: A Prayerbook of Favorite Litanies and Saints who Raised the Dead. The former, compiled by Father Herbert, was first published circa 1985 with the Nihil Obstat, Imprimatur, and Imprimi Potest. Additionally, it was arranged in order to be prayed frequently, rather than to be used as a guide for scholarly pursuits. A Prayerbook of Favorite Litanies was also printed by TAN in 2010.

Excellent By C# -Why I Read ThisI am Catholic, and I also wanted to know more about the founder of the Benedictine Order and "Father of Western Monasticism".-PositivesEasily read, enthralling short work filled with amazing story after amazing story of the saint. These stories are based on interviews conducted by St. Gregory the Great with those who knew St. Benedict.I especially enjoyed reading about the medal of St. Benedict, which is extremely powerful. Unfortunately, however, I know of no valid Benedictine priest who may bless it.The promises made by St. Benedict to his Order are highly interesting, especially since the Most Holy Family Monastery is the only valid Benedictine monastery of which I am aware.-Negatives?The book is so short that, if you are like me, you will be tempted to buy the entirety of St. Gregory the Great's *Dialogues*, of which this is only the second chapter.-Final ThoughtsIf you are Catholic, read this book. If you are not Catholic, read this book and become Catholic.

I am really thrilled to be a Catholic after reading the stories of St. Vincent Ferrer. What an amazing gifts of Heaven. As the Word of God says, Since I am going to Heaven you can greater miracle than I (Jesus). And the Catholic Church already proven that. Be a Catholic what else is needed!!! and gain eternal life.
